CAREER INFORMATION

Background
Alex Gough continues to follow the track to her second Olympic Winter Games in 2010 after representing Canada at the 2006 Games in Torino where she was competing against athletes nearly twice her age at 18. Alex is on pace to make history in 2010 after enjoying a breakthrough season during the 2008-09 campaign where she captured seven top-10 finishes. Alex put her name in the history books when she posted the best-ever Canadian luge result at the World Championships where she was fourth in Lake Placid, N.Y. A graduate of Calgary's National Sport School, Alex discovered the sport when her mom signed her up for a recruitment camp at Canada Olympic Park, and is determined to continue progressing her way up the international rankings. Outside of luge, Alex enjoys skiing, scuba diving, water sports, rock climbing, hiking and playing the guitar.
