CANADIAN LUGE ATHLETES RETURN TO ROOTS OF SPORT TO LAUNCH NATIONAL FOR SALE CAMPAIGN

Luge athletes will unveil details of a comedy web series that will focus on lighter side of sport
For Immediate Release
February 6, 2009

CALGARY - Canada's luge athletes will be heading to a community tobogganing hill to launch a world-unique national for sale campaign while kicking off two weeks of World Cup racing in Western Canada.

The media conference will be held at Reservoir Park (corner of John Laurie Boulevard and Edgemont Drive) in Calgary on Tuesday, February 10 at 11 a.m.

In conjunction with the announcement the Canadian team will join forces with inSeries Media to also launch a comedy web series. Faster than hockey, edgier than alpine skiing, hipper than half-pipe snowboarding, and spandexier than skating. For the next 12 months, this series will lead Canadians down the track to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in which Canadian athletes will make cameo appearances.

Details of the Luge World Cup in Calgary will also be released at the media event.
