Volunteer Opportunities




Experience World Cup Luge!
November 20th, and 21st, 2009


The Canadian Luge Association and Canada Olympic Park will be hosting the 1st Viessmann Luge World Cup of the 2009/2010 season from November 16th to 21st, 2009. The Race Organizing Committee is seeking volunteers to fill various positions during the events.
  • VIP Hosts and Hostesses - the friendly faces of the VIP Lounge. Responsible for greeting our guests upon arrival and ensuring that they have the best World Cup experience possible.
    Available Shifts:
    Friday November 20th: 1:00pm-5:30pm, and 5:00pm-10:00pm
    Saturday November 21st: 1:30pm-5:30pm, and 5:00pm-9:30pm
  • Production Assistants - Event set-up and take-down (decorating, setting up fencing, etc.)
    Available Shifts: Sunday November 15th: 1:00pm-5:00pm
    Thursday November 19th: 1:00pm-5:00pm
    Sunday November 22nd: 1:00pm-5:00pm
  • Marketing Assistants - poster/ticket distribution
    Available Shifts:
    Flexible, between now and event time
  • Security - responsible for checking accreditations at various points within the venue
    Available Shifts:
    Friday November 20th: 1:00pm-5:00pm and 4:30pm-9:00pm
    Saturday November 21st: 12:30pm-5:00pm and 4:30-9:00pm
  • Doping - act as an Athlete escort during the Doping Control process.
    Available Shifts:
    Friday November 20th: 6 Men required from 6:00pm-9:00pm
    Saturday November 21st:
    4 Women required from 3:00pm-9:00pm
    4 Men required from 6:00pm-9:00pm
  • Race Office - main point of contact for all athletes, coaches and officials. Also responsible for Team Captains Meetings. Seeking volunteers with administrative experience.
    Available Shifts:
    Various day time and evening shifts available between Monday Nov. 16th and Saturday Nov. 21st

All volunteers will receive a meal voucher for each shift that is worked, PLUS an official event t-shirt!
