Jorgen Krause Slides Into Final Spot on Canadian Luge Team
Krause, who has been sliding extremely fast during on-track sessions since the team hit the ice in October, originally fell short of making the Canadian squad in the three-part pre-selection trials. However, Krause garnered an invite to train with the team in Europe after posting exceptionally fast runs during selection races at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary at the end of October.
Krause has continued his torrid pace in Europe, placing second overall during the team's pre-season training in Germany. His strong showing garnered him a fourth spot on the national team, just two days before the start of World Cup competition during this critical pre-Olympic season.
Krause will compete with the rest of the Canadian Luge Team during World Cup competition, which kicks off, November 12, in Altenberg, Germany.
