Young Canucks to Play Host at Junior Luge World Cup in Calgary

Future Olympians in youth and junior divisions set to race head-to-head, January 24-25

 CALGARY—Canada’s next generation of Olympic luge athletes will play host to the Junior Luge World Cup at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, January 24-25, 2013.

Coming off personal-best results with four top-10 finishes at the Junior World Championships last week, the teenage Canucks will welcome the best young luge athletes in the world for races in men’s and women’s singles, doubles and a team relay event.

Nearly 80 athletes will represent 11 countries in the youth and junior divisions.

When: January 24, 2013
3 p.m. – Youth Men, Women and Doubles

January 25, 2013
10 a.m. – Junior Men, Women and Team Relay

The Canadian Luge Association is a not-for-profit organization governing the sport of luge across the country.
