World Cup Luge Week Begins With Inaugural Media Luge Push-off Challenge
Media conference and challenge set for Dec

Media AdvisoryThe Canadian Luge Association will be hosting the first-ever Media Luge Push-Off Challenge in conjunction with a media conference, Monday, December 1 at 11 a.m., to kick-off the lone Canadian stop on the Viessmann Luge World Cup circuit in Calgary, December 5-6, 2003.

Festivities will include a European festival atmosphere complete with live German entertainment and bratwurst for lunch. Karbon, a sponsor of the Canadian Luge Team, will provide prizes for the top teams.

A team of two, representing each media outlet, will be paired with a member of the national luge team for coaching and encouragement. Each team member will have one timed run down the luge push-start track in CODA's Ice House, and the fastest combined time will claim the 2003 Media Luge Challenge title.
