World Cup Luge Week Begins with Media Push-Start Challenge
-Media challenge set for December 7 at 11:30 a.m.-

Media AdvisoryCome join the Canadian Luge Team for a media push-start challenge as the nation's top athletes prepare to defend their home track in Calgary during the lone Canadian stop on the Viessmann Luge World Cup circuit.

The friendly competition, which will take place in the Ice House at Canada Olympic Park, December 7, 2004 at 11:30 a.m., will pair local media with Canadian Luge Team athletes in a race down the push-start track.

The European-themed luncheon will begin with the introduction of World Cup events in Calgary in the main lobby of the Ice House, followed by the push-start races and a podium presentation of the day's winners.

The entire Canadian Luge Team will be available for interviews during and after the event. World Cup competition begins December 10-12 at Canada Olympic Park.
