Media AdvisoryRegan Lauscher will lead the Canadian Luge Team into the Calgary stop on the Viessmann Luge World Cup this week after sliding her way into the history books this past weekend, becoming the nation's first luge athlete to win a silver medal in the 28-year history of the World Cup.

Lauscher of Red Deer, Alta., and her Canadian teammates, will join national media in a push challenge, December 7 at 11:30 a.m. in the Ice House at Canada Olympic Park, to kick off World Cup week in Calgary.

Lauscher will address media during the European-themed luncheon following the push races and podium presentation of the day's winners.

The entire Canadian Luge Team will be available for interviews during and after the event. World Cup competition begins December 10-11 at Canada Olympic Park.
